Once you have finished creating the visit, you will be taken to the visits page, where you can see your new visit has been created. This will not occur if you chose to start the visit immediately.

Assigning Tasks per Question within a Visit

You can linked task to question during runtime, so the Question, Tab and Section travel with the task into summaries, reports and notification emails.

The same capability is available in the Field Ops on the web, so a task can be raised against a question while you are still on site. A few rules apply throughout:

  • The Question field is always optional. A task created without one behaves exactly as it always has.
  • A single question can carry as many tasks as you need, whether its response was compliant or non-compliant.

Steps:

  1. Log into the FranConnect Field Ops mobile app.
  2. Tap the menu button on the top left-hand side of the screen and select Visits.

  1. Work through the visit form to the question you want to raise a task against, and tap ADD TASK on that question.

  1. Enter the task details. Assign To, Due Date, Priority and Task Status are required. The question is already linked, so there is nothing to select.

Result: The task is saved against that question, carrying the tab and section it belongs to, and the visit is marked non-compliant.

Adding a Task from the Tasks Tab

Follow-up tasks aren’t always raised during the visit itself, they can surface afterward, or be logged by someone who didn’t conduct the visit. In these cases, create the task from the Tasks tab under Operations and link it back to the relevant visit and question. It behaves exactly like a task raised from the Visit tab: the question still travels with it into summaries, reports, and emails.

The Tasks tab also serves as a review surface. Its QUESTION NAME column shows every task across all visits, making it easy to spot which questions are generating the most follow-up work.

Steps:

  1. Login in Mobile app, Tap the menu button on the top left-hand side of the screen and select Tasks.

The task is saved against that question and appears in the TASKS list with the question shown in the QUESTION NAME column.

Note: The Question field is optional. Leave it blank if the task is not tied to a single question, and the task behaves exactly as it always has. A single question can also carry as many tasks as you need, whether its response was compliant or non-compliant.

Once a visit has been conducted, users often need a quick read of how it went, without scrolling through the entire visit form. The FranConnect mobile app allows a visit summary to be pulled directly from the Visits list, either viewed on screen or generated as a PDF for sharing and record-keeping.

Navigation

Open the FranConnect mobile app > tap Visits > tap the three-dot (⋮) menu against the visit you want > select the required option.

Available Options

  • Visit Summary: Opens the summary of the selected visit within the app, letting users review the visit's outcome without opening the complete visit form.
  • Visit Summary as PDF: Generates the same summary as a PDF, which can be downloaded and shared with the franchisee or retained as a record.

Conclusion

With the FranConnect Field Ops mobile app, managing visits has never been simpler. By following the steps outlined in this guide, you can effortlessly schedule, conduct, and complete visits while maintaining consistent standards across your franchise locations. This streamlined process ensures that essential observations and checklists are efficiently captured, helping you drive improved performance and operational excellence.
