Previously, World Managers (WM) and National Managers (NM) could create and manage training, but were unable to attempt or complete training assigned within their Brand or Division. This made it difficult to ensure senior leadership stayed aligned with required learning, policies, and updates.
To address this, the Training and Development (World Manager) module has been enhanced to allow training to be targeted to WM and NM users, giving them access to assigned learning content and the ability to complete training directly within the system.
Enabling Training Access for WM and NM Users
Before WM and NM users can access or complete training, the feature must be enabled for them.
Enable My Training Using Fusebox
You can control whether WM and NM users can access training using Fusebox settings.
If My Training is enabled for WM and NM users:
The My Training option will appear in their left navigation, and the user will be able to access the training.
If My Training is disabled:
The option will not be visible, and users will not be able to access training
Control Access Using Custom Account Permissions
In addition to Fusebox, access can also be restricted using Custom Account Permissions.
If the My Training permission is disabled:
The user will not be able to access the My Training page
This applies even if training has been assigned to them
These controls allow brands to decide exactly which senior users can participate in training.
Creating Training Targeted to WM and NM Users
Once access is enabled, training can be targeted to WM and NM users during creation.
Creating Training at the World Level
When creating training at the World level:
World Managers and National Managers are now available as target audiences
Training assigned at this level is visible to WM and NM users when operating at the World context
This allows organisation-wide training to be delivered consistently to senior leadership.
In the example below, we are creating an E-learning to target WM and NM at the World Level.
Creating Training at the Division (Country) Level
When creating training at a Division (Country) level:
National Managers can be targeted for that specific Division
Existing user levels remain available, including:
Area Manager
General Manager
Store Manager
Employee
This ensures Division-specific training reaches the appropriate leadership audience without impacting existing hierarchies.
Attempting Training as a WM or NM User
Once training is assigned, WM and NM users can attempt it directly from the platform.
Accessing My Training
Eligible WM and NM users will see My Training in the left navigation.
From here, users can:
View all training assigned to them
Launch and complete training
Track their own progress
Training Visibility Based on User Context
World-level context
If a World Manager is operating at the World level:
Only World-level training assigned to them will be visible
Division-level context
If the user switches to a specific Division (Country):
Training targeted to that Division will also be displayed
This ensures training visibility remains relevant to the user’s current context.
What Is Not Impacted
This enhancement only adds the ability to target and complete training for WM and NM users.
Existing user hierarchies remain unchanged
Area Managers, General Managers, Store Managers, and Employees are not affected
Training creation, assignment, and completion for other user levels works exactly as before
Important Note on Reporting
Training completed by WM and NM users does not contribute to the Performance Monitor of a Division or Brand
Training completion statistics for WM and NM users are not supported in Stats & Reports
Training can still be assigned and completed successfully, but reporting for these user levels is not currently available.
Summary
This enhancement enables World Managers and National Managers to actively participate in training, ensuring leadership stays aligned with organizational learning and compliance requirements.
By allowing training to be targeted to WM and NM users, enabling My Training access, and maintaining clear controls through Fusebox and permissions, World Manager now supports a more inclusive and complete training experience across all key user levels.
