World Manager Release Notes 2020

World Manager provides continuous delivery releases for all mobile and platform releases. This means all-new platform or mobile versions including those relating to bug fixes or performance enhancements will be released automatically without notice.

Note: This excludes releases that introduce new functionality. These will continue to be released to playgrounds in advance of production (live) systems to give brands the opportunity to learn the new functionality and test it before it is released to production systems.

This page outlines all platform and app releases of note. Generally speaking, all new functionality releases are done on a Tuesday or Wednesday of any given week to production platforms. Days can vary slightly depending on the platform location. The below lists historical release information as well as any upcoming releases.

Platform v10.3 (December 16, 2020)

The following outlines new features and bug fixes for this release:

  • Introduced the All-new ACTIV editor
  • Fixed issue with Stats and Reports where By Location was not returning results
  • Fixed issue with ACTIV Fusebox permission not showing attached content for some tools
  • Fixed issue where non-targeted Managers could access applicants in Recruitment via direct link
  • Fixed issue when some deleted slides in ACTIV could still be linked to clickable areas
  • Fixed issue with Accounts page showing duplicate locations for General Managers
  • Fixed issue where some General Managers assigned to empty locations showed error message
  • Fixed issue with some videos where audio codec could not be uploaded
  • Fixed issue where some fonts did not display properly in ACTIV using Chrome
  • Fixed issue with ACTIV Video controls displaying incorrectly
  • Fixed issue with ACTIV size not displaying correctly on iPhone X
  • Fixed issue where you could not update some ACTIVs that are attached to E-Learning

Platform v10.2.4 (November 19, 2020)

The following outlines new features and bug fixes for this release:

  • Introduced Custom Account Permissions for Employees
  • Introduced changes to Social Permissions
  • Introduced text Searches to Emulation for Account Groups and Accounts
  • Introduced 'Drop a file or click here to upload' option for uploading SCORM packages
  • Introduced Performance Monitor to uses Role Name instead of Group Name
  • Removed support for API v5
  • Fixed issue with progress bar being cut off in Performance Monitor and Fuel Gauges
  • Fixed issue with buttons on the Communication / I.T. Stats page not working
  • Fixed issue with enable enrolment checkbox not appearing in Education Suite
  • Fixed issue where an account could be created even if the hirer did not have account permissions set
  • Fixed issue with Achievement Awards being sent when disabled in fusebox
  • Fixed issue with Applicants Source report missing Apply With Seek applicants
  • Fixed issue with the Service Desk priority selector appearing when disabled
  • Fixed issue where Appraisals could not be force reset or complete
  • Fixed issue where exported Manuals & Files report did not show role abbreviation
  • Fixed issue where printed Incident Reports showed the wrong tag
  • Updated 'Fee for Service' to be renamed 'Short Courses' in the Education Suite
  • Released back end changes for Impersonation in preparation for Enterprise Hierarchy 

Platform v10.2.3 (September 30, 2020)

The following outlines new features and bug fixes for this release:

  • Introduced All Account Group Search 
  • Introduced Wildcard (%) Search functionality
  • Fixed issue with multi-country National Managers not appearing in some tool targeting
  • Fixed issue with some Event dates referencing incorrect timezone
  • Fixed issue with careers site 'Apply Now' button not working when using the 'Enter' key
  • Fixed issue with Employee level accounts could not complete Exit Interviews
  • Fixed issue with Sign Off Account Group filter showing all Account Groups
  • Fixed issue with default Role name abbreviations being shown instead of Account Group name abbreviations

Platform v10.2.2 (September 2, 2020)

The following outlines unsupported changes, new features and bug fixes for this release:

  • Ceased support for Internet Explorer. For a list of compatible browsers please visit see Minimum & Recommended Technical Requirements
  • Ceased App support for iOS 10 & 11. Full details can be found in Minimum & Recommended Technical Requirements
  • Introduce new Account Custom Permissions
  • Fixed issue where a Pop-up appeared when activating/disabling account with Education Suite
  • Fixed issue with World and National Level accounts were redirected to the dashboard attempting to access some tools
  • Fixed issue with World and National Level Accounts that could not adjust Dashboard layout
  • Fixed issue where copying languages displayed a blank page
  • Fixed issue where the Emulation button wasn't appearing in some search results
  • Fixed issue with employee count displaying as only 1 active account on the Accounts page

Platform v10.2.1 (August 19, 2020)

The following outlines new features and bug fixes for this release:

  • Introduced a new back end security measure to prevent rapid, repeated login attempts
  • Fixed issue with Service Desk replies showing 'system guest' account name
  • Fixed issue with Broadbean where an error was shown adding User Mapping
  • Fixed issue with Fusebox search permissions not allowing access to My Employee
  • Fixed issue with Mandatory Training date appearing on the next day in Calendar
  • Fixed issue with System Usage Times report inverting times based on the timezone
  • Fixed issue with Country selector appearing for accounts below National Level
  • Fixed issue with the App header toolbar was missing for Android and iOS
  • Fixed issue with Contract Generation where creating a new account redirected to the Dashboard

Platform v10.2 (June 24, 2020)

The following outlines new features and bug fixes for this release:

  • Introduced Replies and Image Cropping to Social profile
  • Introduced a second round of Upgrades to National Account Group Management
  • Ceased support for Google Play Store Apps, For App installation instructions please Select your device type
  • Ceased support for Android Operating System (OS) version 5.0. More details can be found in Minimum & Recommended Technical Requirements
  • Added timezone field for Event Sessions to support multiple timezones
  • Updated date/time format to be displayed in the Events tool using the full-text format (e.g. Tuesday, 24 June 2020 09:00 am )
  • Added the ability to remove deprecation warning for Internet Explorer 11 (IE11) per platform. (Please contact wmsupport@franconnect.com if you would like this removed from all users)
  • Fixed issue when selecting Recruitment Stage 'Type' showing an error when saving a template
  • Fixed issue sending push notifications to users with limited store permissions

Android Release v2.1.32 (June 24, 2020)

Users with an Android app already installed will be forced to update to v2.1.32 if using v2.1.31.

Platform v10.1.1 (May 15, 2020)

The following outlines new features and bug fixes for this release:

  • Introduced deprecation warning for Internet Explorer 11 (IE11)
  • Introduced Scheduling dashboard permissions for ZUUS Scheduling
  • Fixed issue with inline links being automatically generated into attachments in Notices
  • Fixed issue where user name was appearing twice in Milestone notes
  • Fixed issue where some inline images appeared distorted in Notices

iOS Release v2.3.8 (June 9, 2020)

All users with an iOS app already installed will be asked to reinstall the app upon opening but should only take a few seconds to re-install.

Platform v10.1 (April 29, 2020)

  • Fixed performance issues with Notice attachments
  • Fixed force reset and completion issue with Appraisals
  • Fixed issue with Written Test appearing for account groups with fusebox disabled
  • Fixed issue with National Manager Appraisers results could not be exported
  • Fixed issue where Exit button for ACTIV was not exiting
  • Fixed issue with Google Chrome samesite setting caused incomplete PDFs
  • Fixed issue with Google Chrome samesite setting caused issues with custom domains
  • Fixed issue with Location Reviews where the filter was no showing all stores when selecting all areas

Platform v10.0.2 (March 11, 2020)

The following outlines new features and bug fixes for this release:

  • Introduced Modern Button Redesign
  • Improved Account Search in Service Desk
  • Fixed 'State' filter issue in Talent Pool in Recruitment
  • Fixed issue where some managers could manage location reviews without permission
  • Fixed issue where some manager accounts could access non-targeted locations in Sign Offs
  • Fixed issue where some accounts could access Notices page when disabled in Fusebox
  • Fixed issue where incorrect profile images were shown for some accounts on the profile page
  • Fixed alphanumeric reporting issue where uppercase letters would be displayed before lowercase
  • Fixed issue with applicant source report showing incorrect totals in Recruitment
  • Fixed issue with Service Desk where names were displayed incorrectly when social permission was disabled
  • Fixed issue where Service Desk tickets submitted by email did not show history

Platform v10.0.1 (February 13, 2020)

The following outlines new features and bug fixes for this release:

  • Introduced New Information Style for Messages used in Contract Generation and My Details
  • Introduced the ability for Rated Service Desk Tickets to be Reopened
  • Introduced a New Service Desk 'Force Login' Setting which can force users to log in when viewing service desk tickets
  • Re-introduced the ability for World, National and Manager Level accounts to 'Edit Profiles' if Account Settings permissions are enabled.
  • Fixed issue when an Area contains only 1 Location, Area Managers can not be selected for Sign Offs
  • Fixed issue where users could bypass learning content via accessing the URL directly
  • Fixed issue with My Tasks Widget not updating for Manuals and Files
  • Fixed issue with start date in Contract Generation not displaying the correct date
  • Fixed issue with Multi-Location Managers not see all employees in Stats and Reports
  • Fixed issue with parent folder displaying folders in other countries at National Level
  • Fixed issue with Service Desk where submissions via email did not show history
  • Fixed issue where attached images in Service Desk were not resized
