This release introduces new permissions for Managers and Employees to edit the start date for accounts. By Navigating to System--> System Configuration --> Account Settings, administrators now have 2 new permissions.
1. Manager Permissions - Update Subordinates Start Date
A new permission for administrators to allow or restrict managers to change their Subordinate's start date. This new permission is enabled by default if other Manager permissions are enabled
2. Manager and Employee Permissions - Update Own Start Date
A new permission for administrators to allow or restrict manager and employee roles from changing their own start date. This new permission is disabled by default.
Note: If permissions are disabled for both managers and employees, a read-only tab for Accounts and fields is now shown. E.g. A user with no permission to change any of the above fields can still see the fields in read-only mode.
Tip: If you have integrations with users that populated start date we recommend disabling the permissions from being changed.
