Countdown Widgets are used to display a countdown timer in a either a HTML or IFrame Widget. There are a number of countdown timer websites that can be used to create countdown timers to be put into your widget. However, we use and recommend TickCounter - see here: https://www.tickcounter.com
Important: It is only technically possible to use URLs for websites that start with https due to security restrictions that are applied by modern browsers. https declares it is a 'secure' site as opposed to a non-secure http site that will not work.
Creating the Widget in Facebook
1. Go to https://www.tickcounter.com
2. Configure a countdown timer, as per your requirement
Tip: We recommend styling the countdown widget to match your platform's theme.
3. Once done, click on the MAKE COUNTDOWN button
4. Copy the applicable code, for the type of widget you will be creating - as below:
- HTML Widget: Embed code
- IFrame Widget: Share link
Adding the Widget to your Platform
1. Log into your World Manager platform, then go to System → System Configuration and click on the Dashboard button (under the "System" section)
2. Click on the New Widget button
3. Fill out the new widget details as follows:
HTML Widget
- Type: HTML
- Title: **enter a name for the widget
- Description: **enter a description for the widget -- this only appears to administrators and won't be shown to users
- Preferred Column: **choose the column to display this widget in (left or right)
- Target Country: **choose the country/countries to display this widget in

Style: **choose the style for the widget
- HTML Content: **paste the (HTML) embed code -- Step 4 from above instructions
- Height (px): **set a height for the widget
IFrame Widget
- Type: IFrame
- Title: **enter a name for the widget
- Description: **enter a description for the widget -- this only appears to administrators and won't be shown to users
- Preferred Column: **choose the column to display this widget in (left or right)
- Target Country: **choose the country/countries to display this widget in

4. Click Save
