Creating an Image Widget

Image Widgets are used to display images on a user's dashboard that can be clickable or simply placed to reinforce company branding.

Please refer to the below instructions for creating an Image widget:

1. Go to System → System Configuration

2. Click on Dashboard

3. Click on New Widget

* indicates a required field

4. In the Type* drop-down, select the "Image" option

5. Title*: Enter a name

Tip: This can be anything, but we recommend using something that catches the attention of the targeted users.

6. Description*: Enter a description

Note: Only appears to administrators and won't be shown to users/on the front-end.

7. Preferred Column*: Select the preferred column you wish to display the widget in - either "left" or "right"

8. Target Country: Set target country/countries you wish to apply the widget to [optional]

9. Style*: Choose your preferred header style and colouring

10. Image: Upload an image to be displayed in the widget

Attention: Check the tool tip for accepted file types and size restrictions.

Recommended Image Sizes:  With a variety of devices used across the World Manager platform there is a variety of sizing used with Image Widgets. For a computer screen at 1920px X 1080px resolutions we recommend:

Preferred Column Width Height
Left Hand Side 810px 200-300px
Right Hand Side 400px 200-300px

11. Link: Enter a URL the Image widget links to [optional]

Tip: By default, image widget links open in a new tab/window. Untick the "Open in new tab" checkbox if you would like the link to open within the same window/tab when a user clicks on the image instead.

12. Max Height*: Specify a maximum height for the widget

Attention: Check the tool tip for minimum and maximum allowed heights in pixels (px).

12. Click Save

In this example, we have used an image with a link to the Image Gallery tool
