World Manager Privacy Policy and GDPR Compliance Update

This blog post provides a summary of the latest updates to World Managers Privacy Policy and Data Security Processes.

These updates are being made due to various changes in legislation across the globe such as Australia’s “Mandatory Notifiable Data Breach (NDB)” or Europe’s “General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)” .

World Manager has also been working behind the scenes to ensure that we are prepared for these changes. We’ve provided a summary of the changes below but have also created a World Manager Privacy Portal that contains information regarding Privacy, GDPR Compliance and security. Notifiable Data Breach (NDB) Update

For those brands operating in Australia, the NDB scheme has been in effect since February 22nd, 2018. The NDB scheme stipulates that in the event of an eligible data breach that is likely to result in 'serious harm', individual(s) whose personal information is involved and relevant authorities are notified by World Manager within an appropriate timeframe.

World Manager has a Data Breach Response Plan in place that was developed in accordance with both NDB and GDPR requirements. If you require a copy of this document, please send your request to privacy@worldmanager.com.

GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) Update

Our brands have users accessing our platform in over 50 countries worldwide, including Europe, and as such are understandably trying to ensure they and their suppliers comply with GDPR requirements.

World Manager plays a part in your GDPR compliance as a “Data Processor”, and as such we have been working towards this over the past few months. To assist us with this process, we commissioned the services of Information Security experts to perform an independent Gap Analysis against the GDPR for the World Manager platform. The good news is that the World Manager platform already contains many of the controls and functionality that GDPR requires for both our brands and their users, however for any partially compliant or non-compliant areas, we have since been working on the recommendations in order to achieve compliance.

Privacy Policy Update

We have updated our Privacy Policy according to all relevant GDPR and NDB requirements. This new policy is effective immediately and can also be accessed via the World Manager Privacy Portal or from the footer of the desktop version of your platform labeled 'Privacy Information'
