Account Custom Permissions

Platform administrators have the ability to enable & configure custom permissions for admin and manager-level accounts. This allows you to have further control over the various suites & tools they get default access to based on their account group.

Enabling Custom Permissions

To enable custom permissions on an account, please do the following:

  1. Edit the user's profile
  2. Go to the 'Account' tab and find the 'Permissions' field.
  3. Choose the 'Custom' option to show the full list of available custom permissions
  4. Go through the list and enable/disable
  5. Once you have finished configuring the user's custom permissions, scroll down and click on the "Save" or "Update" button (for new or existing users, respectively)

Tip: If you have a large amount of users you need to apply custom permissions to (e.g. more than 10), our Support Team can do this in bulk for you. You just need to provide them with the account IDs or usernames of the users, as well as provide the name of an account that already has the custom permissions you require to use as a template to copy from.

To get the account IDs or usernames, you can run an Account Reports in the Stats and Reports tool. Please refer to this article for more information: Account Reports

Permissions List

Below is a list of all of the permissions available to provide or remove access to. By unticking a permission, you remove the user's ability to access that specific suite and/or tool.

Platform

  • Help - Enables use of the Help Centre
  • Home Dashboard - Enables use of the Dashboard page
    • User Emulation - Provides the ability to emulate accounts (WM & NM only).
  • My Details - Enables use of the My Details page
  • Search - Enables use of the search tool
  • Social - Enables use of the Social tool
    • Post - Provides the ability to post while using the Social tool

System

  • Accounts - Enables / Disables use of the Account tool 
    • Admin - Only for World and National Managers
    • External Survey Accounts - Provides the ability to create & manage External Survey Accounts
    • Manage - Provides the ability to Manage accounts. This permission is required to create External Survey & National Manager accounts
    • National Managers - Provides the ability to create & manage National Manager Accounts
    • View Documents - Provides the ability to view an account's 'Documents' tab
  • Custom Fields - Enables / Disables use of the Custom Fields tool
    • Accounts - Provides the ability to create & manage Custom Fields for accounts
    • Locations - Provides the ability to create & manage Custom Fields for locations
  • Fuel Gauges - Enables / Disables use of the Fuel Gauges tool
  • Languages - Enables / Disables the Languages tool, only for World Manager accounts
  • Locations - Enables / Disables use of the Locations tool
    • Create - Provides the ability to create a location
    • Delete - Provides the ability to delete a location 
    • Manage - Provides the ability to update locations. This permission is required to Create & Delete locations
    • Location Search - Provide the ability to search for location, using the search bar
  • Performance Monitor - Enables / Disables use of the Performance Monitor tool
  • Stats and Reports- Enables / Disables use of the Stats & Reports tool
    • Account Reports - Provide the ability to generate an Accounts Report
    • Appraisals - Provide the ability to generate reports for Appraisals
    • Custom Fields for Accounts - Provide the ability to generate reports for  Account Custom Fields
    • Custom Fields for Locations - Provide the ability to generate reports for Location custom fields.
    • Customer Feedback - Provide the ability to generate reports for Custom Feedback
    • E-Learning - Provides the ability to generate reports for E-Learning
    • Employee Activity Reports - Provides the ability to generate reports for Employee Activity
    • Events - Provides the ability to generate reports for Events

**One important thing to note, is that the 'Contract Generation' related permissions (under Human Resources) are disabled by default. So in order to provide a manager-level account with access to the Contract Generation tool, you must first enable custom permissions on their account, and subsequently, enable the relevant Contract Generation permissions from the list that appears.
