Custom Reports & Scripts

If you require a report that is not available within the platform's Stats and Reports tool or just want an altered version of one that currently exists, World Manager is able to create Custom Reports to suit your business needs.

We also offer the creation of Custom Scripts to help automate some of the manual processes within the platform.

What is a Custom Report?

A Custom Report is generated via your platform's database and can contain virtually any data that is available in your platform. Once created, your Custom Report is accessed via a separate URL token, outside of your platform, and requires a username + password - which you can distribute at your discretion.

This is especially handy for reports you require on an ongoing basis, as you can view them at any time, in real-time.

Is there a charge for Custom Reports?

Yes, all Custom Reports generally incur a charge, as they are created specifically for you. The cost is dependent on your requirements and based on the time it will take to create it. Most reports can be created for only a few hours of custom work.

What File Types are available for Custom Reports?

Most reports created support .csv, .xls, .xml and .json file types

How can I request a Custom Report?

To get started, please get in touch with your Relationship Manager to check to see if the report may already exist but if not the following information will be needed:

  • What tool you are wanting a Custom Report for
  • What order you wish the report to be in, what columns, formatting etc
  • Provide a sample report (in Excel format), detailing the columns & data you require [important]

Tip: Please use data from your actual live platform in the Excel sample sheet, as this will help us determine exactly what information you require.

Once your Relationship Manager has gathered the above information, they will submit a Service Desk ticket on our OC platform to the relevant team who will review your request and provide a quotation.

Note: Alternatively, you can submit a ticket yourself by sending an email directly to wmsupport@franconnect.com. Please ensure you include the required information listed above

Are there any additional options with Custom Reports?

Yes, we also offer various filtering options, which will allow you to manipulate the data shown in the Custom Report, based on properties such as; country, date range, template name, item status and much more.

Hard-coded Filters

This type shows all available filters (if more than one) together on the same page at all times.

This type shows a single filter initially, which then shows additional filters based on your previous selection.

Important: Filters are not included in Custom Reports as standard, so you must specify when you require them, as well as what types. The additional costs will then be added to your quotation.

Tip: Further to the above filters, all Custom Reports have links to "Export as CSV", "Export as XML" and "Export as JSON" by default.

What is a Custom Script?

A Custom Script can be used to automate any function that can be manually processed on the platform.

For example, a Custom Script could be created to automatically give an Achievement Award to users upon the completion of a particular Fuel Gauge.

Yes, as with Custom Reports, Custom Scripts generally incur a charge, as they are created specifically for you. The cost is dependent on your requirements and based on the time it will take to create it.

How can I request a Custom Script?

To get started, please get in touch with your Relationship Manager, who will then request the following information from you:

  • Clearly state which tool you are wanting a Custom Script for
  • Provide a sample workflow of the manual process(es) you wish to automate    [important]

Tip: Please use data from your actual live platform in the workflow, as this will help us determine exactly what information you require.
