How to Subscribe to an Analytics Dashboard

To stay informed with key business insights, FranConnect allows users to subscribe to scheduled Analytics reports delivered directly to their email in Excel or PDF format. This feature ensures you receive critical data automatically without needing to log into the platform each time. In this article, we'll walk you through the steps to set up and manage your report subscriptions, so you never miss important updates.

Setting Up an Analytics Subscription

To set up your FranConnect Analytics subscription, first log into your FranConnect environment. Next, click Analytics on the left-hand sidebar.

Note: At this point, you can pick any of the Analytics dashboards to which you wish to subscribe. In our example, we will be using the "Franchise Sales Optimization" dashboard.

Click View on the relevant Analytics dashboard.

From the dashboard, click the Share button at the top right-hand portion of the page, and select Subscribe to Dashboard from the drop-down menu.

The following menu will pop up:

Let's go through the options on this menu:

  • Name: Give your subscription a name.
  • Bookmark: You can include your current view as a bookmark or select a pre-existing bookmark. If you wish to create a new one, give it a name.
  • Format: You can choose an Excel or PDF format.
  • Range: You can select all of the data you wish to be included in your subscription.
  • Contents: You can select whether to export all of the data to a worksheet or to export each visualization separately.
  • Filter: Choose whether or not to show the filters on your exported data.
  • Schedule: Choose how often you wish to have the data sent.
  • Note: You can add a note to the export if you wish.
  • Deliver to: Choose to whom you would like the data exported.
  • Send preview now to all recipients: Will send a preview to all recipients to show that they are now subscribed.

Once you have set these options to your preference, click Subscribe. You will now receive your data exports via email at the interval you have chosen.

Editing or Unsubscribing from an Analytics Subscription

To edit or unsubscribe from an Analytics subscription, return to the Analytics dashboard with the subscription in question.

Note: As in the section above, we will use the Franchise Sales Optimization dashboard in our example.

From this dashboard, click the Library home button on the top-left portion of the page.

From the "Library" page, click the Library home page again as this button will now toggle your sidebar on and off.

On this page, you can either click the pencil to edit your subscription, or click the cancel icon to cancel it.

Once you have confirmed your changes, your new subscription settings will be saved.
