How to Add a New Franchise Location

In the ever-evolving landscape of franchise management, leveraging advanced software solutions is paramount for the successful expansion of your franchise network. FranConnect offers a comprehensive suite of tools and features designed to facilitate the process of adding new franchise locations to your system. In this article, we will show you how to add new franchise locations to your FranConnect system.

Adding a New Franchise Location

To add a new franchise location, first log into your FranConnect system. Click the Opener tab on the left-hand sidebar and then select Unit Summary from the drop-down menu.

Click the Add New Franchise Location button at the top of the page.

Complete the following form with the relevant information about the new unit you are adding. Let's take a look at the individual components of the form.

CENTER DETAILS

Here you will enter the basic information for the new franchise location including the franchise ID, lifecycle stage, target opening date, etc.

CENTER CONTACT DETAILS

Here you will enter the name of the primary contact for the new franchise location.

LEGAL NOTICE DETAILS

Here you will enter the name of the primary legal contact for the new franchise location.

ADD OWNER DETAILS

Choose whether the owner is an entity, an individual, or both. This section will only display the fields relevant to the box(es) you check. You can either use owners that already exist in the system or add new owner/lead details.

SEGMENTS

You will need to associate a segment to a new location so click the Associate Segment button. The following window will pop up:

You can either choose to add a new segment or associate an existing segment to the new franchise location. In either case, fill out the information that you are prompted to enter and click SAVE.

REFERENCE DATES

Here you can enter the estimated completion dates for each of the listed tasks.

CUSTOM PROFILES

Here you can add the franchise business coach, IT Manager, Project Manager, and Marketing Manager you wish to assign to the new franchise location.

You will also see a section for primary and secondary checklists that you can leverage how you see fit. Once you have confirmed that all of the information you have entered is correct, click ADD to create the new franchise location.
