How to Use the Development Executive Watchboard

1 min read

The Development Executive Watchboard brings metrics together on one screen from leads added through qualified leads, signed deals, revenue collected, unit openings, transfers, and terminations, plus how long each development milestone is taking. This document covers how to read and filter each section of the Watchboard in the Analytics module.

Setting the Date Period

Every widget on the Watchboard responds to the date range you select at the top of the page.

  1. From the left navigation, go to Analytics > Development Executive Watchboard.
  2. Under Select Date Period, choose a range (for example, YTD).

  1. Scroll to the Sales Funnel Leads to Closed Deals section.
  2. Review Leads Added, Pre Qualified Leads, Qualified Leads, and Approved - Pending FA to see funnel volume at each stage.
  3. Review Deals Signed, # of Locations Sold, Revenue Collected, and Discovery Days Scheduled in Next 60 Days for closed-deal and near-term activity.

Reviewing the Unit Lifecycle Summary

  1. Scroll to Unit Lifecycle Summary
  2. Use Filter by Lifecycle Stage to narrow the four tiles to one stage, or leave it set to (All).
  3. Review Projected Openings, Actual Openings, Transfer Locations, and Terminated Locations.

Transfer Locations and Terminated Locations reflect units that changed ownership or closed during the selected period, independent of new openings.

Reviewing Weeks per Milestone Stage

Use this section to see how long units are taking to move between development milestones.

  1. Scroll to Weeks per Milestone Stage.
  2. Use Select Milestone to isolate one stage-to-stage interval, or leave it set to (All) to see every interval.

Conclusion

The Development Executive Watchboard gives CDOs and development executives one board-ready view of the franchise pipeline — from first lead to signed deal, revenue, openings, transfers, and terminations — without switching between the Sales and Opener/Info Manager dashboards.
