How to Use the Franchise Engagement Dashboard

1 min read

Previously, the Franchise Engagement dashboard showed only Calls and Remarks logged against a Unit, leaving Emails and Tasks out of view, and reporting only unit-level activity. Franchise Engagement 2.0 expands the dashboard to analyze Calls, Remarks, Emails, and Tasks, and adds two dedicated views so you can understand how consistently field teams engage and support franchisees across locations, owners, and communication channels — while preserving the distinction between unit- and owner-level interactions.

View ModeWhat it shows
UnitsEngagement activity (Calls, Remarks, Emails, Tasks) recorded against individual franchise Units — the franchise locations themselves.
OwnersEngagement activity recorded directly against franchise Owners, tracked separately from Unit-level activity.

Opening the Franchise Engagement Dashboard

Steps:

  1. Open Franchise Engagement from Foundation Analytics.
  2. The dashboard opens, showing Franchise Engagement in the breadcrumb.

Switching Between Unit and Owner Engagement

Unit Engagement reviews interactions recorded against individual franchise locations, while Owner Engagement shows activities associated directly with franchise owners — choose whichever view matches the activity and insights you want to review.

Steps:

  1. At the top of the dashboard, locate the View Mode toggle.
  2. Click Units to see engagement recorded against franchise Units, or click Owners to see engagement recorded against franchise Owners.
  3. The KPIs, trends, and breakdown sections refresh for the selected view.

Note

Unit-level and Owner-level engagements are stored separately, so the totals shown in each view will not match.

Reading the Activity KPIs

These cards give you the expanded channel coverage at a glance across Calls, Remarks, Emails, and Tasks for the selected view.

Steps:

  1. Review the five KPI cards at the top of the dashboard: Total Activities, Emails Sent, Calls Logged, Remarks Added, and Tasks Logged.
  2. Each card shows the activity count and its percentage of all activity for the selected view.

Reviewing Engagement Trends

Use this section to understand contact frequency and which communication channels field consultants use most.

Steps:

  1. Scroll to the Engagement Trends section.
  2. Use the Weekly / Monthly / Quarterly / Yearly selector to change the time grouping.
  3. Review the Activity Trend line chart and the Activity Mix Over Time stacked bar chart to see how engagement volume and channel mix have changed over time.
  4. Each graph is interactive and can be clicked to display more information

Reviewing the Engagement Breakdown

This section also helps you evaluate consultant engagement cadence across franchise units and owners.

Steps:

  1. Scroll to the Engagement Breakdown section.
  2. Review Email Activity Breakdown and Email Activity By Status for channel-level detail.
  3. Continue scrolling to review Activity Summary, Call Activity by status and type, and Activity by Day & Time.
