We are excited to announce that Training & Development (World Manager) is now available directly inside the FranConnect app. Franchisees and frontline employees' training experience lives right alongside their daily operations — in one app, with one login, and one place to stay informed.
The FranConnect app already puts the complete franchising lifecycle in the palm of your hand — helping franchisees educate their teams, get brand updates, communicate and collaborate across the network, and access the tools they need to run their locations. Today, we're completing the picture. With T&D now embedded alongside Hub, your franchisees and their employees have everything they need to stay connected, trained, and informed — without ever leaving the app.
Here's what your franchisees and employees get:
- Everything they need, in one app. Hub and Training & Development are now unified in the FranConnect app — FranBuzz for community and collaboration, Library for documents and resources, Spaces for branded knowledge pages, and now T&D for training.
- One login for everything. A single sign-on covers Hub and T&D with no re-authentication. No switching apps, no second password.
- Stay informed from one feed. All your notifications — Hub communications, FranBuzz posts, and T&D courses — are consolidated into a single Activity Page with one combined count. This update applies to all FranConnect app users — not just those with Training & Development enabled.
- Training notifications that actually go somewhere. T&D push notifications now arrive through the FranConnect app. Tap one and you land directly on the relevant task or action — no navigating, no searching.
- Nothing lost, everything gained. All existing T&D content, learning paths, courses, and reporting remain exactly as they are. This is a unified experience, not a different one.
- Your full FranConnect platform, still in one place. Frannie AI, Sales, Opener, Royalty Manager, and Hub continue to work exactly as they do today alongside T&D — the FranConnect app remains the single destination for your franchisees' complete operational toolkit.
Why this matters
Franchise networks are built on frontline teams — and frontline teams don't sit at desks. They're on the floor, in the kitchen, out in the field. Their phone is their workstation. Fast, accessible training isn't a nice-to-have — it's operationally critical. Every barrier between a worker and their training is a risk to compliance, consistency, and engagement across your network. And we're just getting started!
The franchisee and employee experience
For franchisees and frontline employees, the experience is exactly what it should be — simple. Log in once, see the T&D module in the left navigation alongside Hub, FranBuzz, Library, and everything else they already use. No second app, no second login. Module and sub-module names reflect exactly what you've configured in your World Manager web admin — your custom labels, your terminology, your brand. Nothing changes there.
A unified Activity Page — for every FranConnect user
Previously, the Activity Stream showed every module — Stories, Documents, Alerts, Messages, Sales, Support — regardless of whether there was anything new to see. Tapping through often meant landing on a blank page.
The Activity Page now only surfaces modules that have active notifications. If there's nothing new in a module, it won't appear. It's a cleaner, more focused feed — and for users with T&D enabled, training notifications are merged in alongside Hub activity with a single combined count.
This update applies to all FranConnect app users — not just those with Training & Development enabled.
Notification settings
Users have full control over which notifications they receive. Under Settings in the left navigation, they can manage their T&D notification preferences independently — turning on or off alerts, reminders, and updates without affecting their Hub or FranBuzz notifications.
The admin experience
For corporate, divisional, and multi-divisional users, the T&D module appears in the left navigation alongside your existing modules. Visibility, permissions, module names, and access levels all carry across exactly as configured — no changes required.
Communication, training, and instant answers — all in one place
FranBuzz and T&D aren't just two features in the same app — they reinforce each other. A franchisor posts a brand update or new initiative on FranBuzz. Employees see it, engage with it, and the associated training is right there waiting for them — without switching context, without switching apps.
The Library brings all your brand documentation, resources, and operational files into the same experience. Employees can reference the materials they need and move straight into the training that supports them — no jumping between systems, no hunting for the right file.
And when someone gets stuck? If your organization has Frannie AI, the Franchise Support Agent is available directly inside the FranConnect app. It indexes your Library content to deliver fast, contextual answers to franchisees and managers on the spot — so questions get resolved in seconds, not support tickets. Ask your Customer Success Manager about adding Frannie AI to your subscription.
This is the loop that drives performance: communicate, reference, train, resolve. Having it all in one place means your network actually closes it.
Built for multi-division and multi-brand networks
If your network spans multiple divisions or brands, the app handles it seamlessly. Each user's default division or brand is pre-selected on login, and push notifications flow in from every division or brand they have access to — no setup required on their end.
More customization is coming
We're not done yet. We are currently working on branding customization for the FranConnect app — giving your network a truly white-labelled mobile experience with your brand colors, custom app icon, and app name.
We'll share timing and rollout details as they're confirmed.
Transition from the FranConnect World Manager app
The FranConnect World Manager app will continue to operate during this transition — there is no removal planned at this stage. Your teams can keep using it without any disruption while your organization moves across at its own pace.
There is one difference worth noting for users making the switch: the FranConnect World Manager app uses a brand URL to log in, whereas the FranConnect app uses a company code. Users moving across will need their company code to get started — your admin team can share this.
Organizations using World Manager as a standalone product (not integrated with FranConnect) are not affected and will continue using the FranConnect World Manager app as normal.
