Introduction to Email Parsing
Email Parsing is the process of extracting field data from the emails captured in FranConnect Sky software. The ‘Email Parsing Lead Capture’ is a process of adding leads from third Party Websites/Vendors via an email sent to Websites/Vendors via an email sent to a preset email address (e.g. clientname@myfranconnect.com).
How Parsing Works?
A unique mail id is defined for parsing, an email is sent to that specified email id to get parsed. This process runs in the background; it scans the email, and if the parser understands the email content, it will put the field data exactly where it belongs in the system. In case it does not understand the email content, it will leave the fields blank. Once parsed, lead information is added from the email’s content into Sales.
How to configure parsing keywords?
Go to Admin > Sales > Manage Form Generator > Primary Info.
Here, you can configure the parsing keywords for the fields, which can then be used in emails.
Some Conditions That Arise While Parsing

Each line in the email format must contain information of a single field only. Also, Field name and its value must be separated by a delimiter “:”.

Plain text or HTML emails can be parsed to add lead information into the system.

How the Subject in the email is mapped with Lead Category
Email Parsing requires a unique subject. The email parser program will understand the contents of the mail and upload them into the software. The subject will help the leads map to a specific lead category. In case there is an email with a different subject or the email does not have any subject, the lead is mapped to lead category “others”.
Please go to the configuration at Admin> Sales> Source, here below screen will appear. Now, please click on the highlighted configuration for Internet.
Thereafter, below screen will appear and user can configure Parsing Email Subject corresponding to each lead source category.
