Introduction to the Sales Module

Welcome to the Sales module in FranConnect. This easy-to-use tool is designed to help you sell more franchises. It helps you manage your leads, talk to prospects, and understand your sales better. The module is simple to add to your current work and helps you turn more leads into successful franchise owners. It's a great tool for anyone looking to improve their franchise sales.

Lead Management

The Lead Management tab is a central hub for tracking all of the leads you have stored in FranConnect. The results in the table can be filtered by clicking the Show Filters button and inputting the filters you wish to use on your results.

Additionally, you can hover your cursor over the Actions menu to reveal a list of further actions that can be performed here.

You can also access options specific to an individual lead by clicking the corresponding gear icon next to the lead's name.

Finally, you can access an individual lead's profile by clicking on their name.

Franchise Opportunities

The Franchise Opportunities tab is where you can view all of your franchise opportunities, whether they are new locations or transfers. There are a couple different ways to filter these results. First, you can use the top row to filter the type of opportunity.

You can also filter more granularly by using the Filters button on the page.

If you want to perform actions on an individual opportunity, you can do so by clicking the ... adjacent to the corresponding opportunity.

If you need to create a new franchise opportunity, you can do so by clicking the CREATE button.

Now, let's take a look at the Groups page.

Groups

The Groups page allows you to group your leads together by the criteria you select. Groups can then be associated with campaigns or workflows, instead of associating individual leads to these features. You can create a new group using the CREATE GROUP button at the top of the page.

Search

The Search page allows you to drill down to the specific leads or opportunities you wish to find. This page contains three different searches. Let's take a closer look at each one.

Primary Info Based Search

This search allows you to search for specific leads by the denoted categories in the search menu.

Preferred Site Based Search

This search allows you to find specific leads by the sites that match their preferences.

Campaign Based Search

This search allows you to find specific leads by the campaigns with which they are associated.

Campaign Center

Campaign Center is a central hub for managing all of your email and SMS campaigns. From here, you can manage your templates and associate campaigns to groups, workflows, and/or individual leads.

Workflows

The Workflows page allows users to configure workflows and associate them with groups or individual leads. To learn more about building workflows, please check out our How to Create a New Sales Workflow article.

FDD

From the FDD page, you are able to send FDDs and track their delivery statuses. Additionally, the table will display all of the relevant and important dates associated with the FDD once the receipt is signed.

Tasks

The Tasks page allows you to monitor all of the Sales tasks that have been created in FranConnect. To view a task or change its status, simply click on the task's name and the following window will pop up:

You can also perform bulk actions using the checkboxes next to each task and hovering over the Actions button.

Additionally, to perform actions on an individual task, simply click the gear icon next to the corresponding task.

Next, let's take a look at the Calendar section of Sales.

Calendar

The Calendar page provides you a calendar that can be used to document visits, appointments, meetings, and other important events. From this page, you can create an event using the Create button at the top of the page.

You can also perform more actions, such as syncing your FranConnect calendar to your Outlook or Google calendars, using the More drop-down menu.

Now, let's take a look at importing and exporting lead data with FranConnect.

Import

Export

The Export page allows you to export any data from the Sales module that you choose to an Excel spreadsheet. Simply follow the steps in the export wizard and then download your Excel spreadsheet at the end.

Mail Merge

The Mail Merge page is where you can manage your mail merge templates. You can create a new template using the Add Template button.

You can also perform actions on an individual template by clicking the gear icon next to the template.

Next, let's take a look at how brokers are managed in FranConnect.

Brokers

The Brokers tab is where you can track all of the brokers that you have documented in FranConnect. You can click on an individual broker's name to be taken to the following page:

From this page, you can see the broker's contact information, any email campaigns with which they are associated, contact history, open tasks, and more.

Additionally, back on the main Brokers page, you can search for a broker using the search box at the top of the page.

To add a new broker you can click the Add Brokers button at the top of the page. To perform bulk actions on brokers, use the checkboxes next to the brokers in question and then hover over the Actions button.

Now, we'll take a look at the Reports page.

Reports

The Reports page is a one-stop shop for all of your Sales reporting. From lead counts to lead statuses and so much more, FranConnect's robust reporting has got you covered.

Dashboard

Dashboard provides you with a more general overview of your sales data than what Reports offers. This page is great for a more at-a-glance look at your franchise sales performance.
