How to Use Alert Email Content Settings to Customize Opener Task Notifications

1 min read

Opener sends task emails to keep your team on schedule, but until now every admin got the same fixed layout and the same short message. The Alert Email Content page changes that. It gives you one place to decide what each Opener email says and which task details it shows, so your recipients can understand a notification at a glance without logging in to FranConnect.

This guide follows the page from left to right, starting with the daily digest and then moving through the emails sent when a task is created, deleted, or completed.

Note

This page changes what each email shows. It does not change when emails are sent, how often they are sent, or who receives them.

Customizing the Daily Alerts Email

The Daily Alerts email is the one your team sees most often. It is a single daily digest that groups overdue tasks and tasks with an upcoming schedule start or completion date. You decide the sender, the message that introduces each group of tasks, and the details shown for every task.

Steps:

  1. Click the Admin gear icon, then select Opener from the left menu.

  2. Under Opener, click Alert Email Content. The page opens on the Daily Alerts tab.

  4. Under Alert Email Content, review the message for each group: Schedule Start Reminder, Schedule Start Alert, Schedule Completion Reminder, Schedule Completion Alert, and Overdue Alert. Edit any message so it reads the way you want your team to hear it.

  5. Scroll to Email Fields. Select the checkbox next to each detail you want shown with every task, such as Center Name, Owner Name, Schedule Start, or Responsibility Area. Clear a checkbox to remove that detail.

  6. Click Save.

Note

Task and Franchise ID are marked Always Included and cannot be turned off, so recipients can always tell which task and which location an email is about.

Once the daily digest is set, you can apply the same field choices to the emails that follow a single task.

Choosing Fields for Task Creation Emails

When a task is added to a Store Opener checklist, the assignee receives a Creation email. Use this tab to decide what they see about the new task.

Steps:

  1. On the Alert Email Content page, click the Creation tab.
