By default, the platform will send an email to notify users that they have received an award. These emails can be disabled but are also able to be modified to suit your needs.
The following email templates can be modified via:
System → System Configuration → System Email Templates → Achievement Awards

Notification Types
- Award Level Up Notification
Sent to notify a user they have gained a level in an Achievement Award - Award Notification - Peer
Sent to notify a user that one of their peers (someone of the same account group at the same location) has been given a Custom Award - Award Received Notification
Sent to notify a user they have been given a Custom Award - Award Unlocked Notification
Sent to notify a user they have unlocked a new Achievement Award
