How to Terminate a Location in Info Manager

Overview

There may be times when a franchisee in your organization is unable to continue with ownership. When a location is not available for resale and termination is the only path forward, FranConnect provides two ways to mark it as terminated.

Method 1: Update the Life Cycle Stage

You can terminate a location directly from its record by updating the Life Cycle Stage field. This triggers a redirect to the Default and Termination tab, where you complete the required fields to finalize the termination.

  1. Navigate to Info Manager. From the main navigation, click Info Manager.
  2. Open the location record. Locate and click on the franchise location you want to terminate.
  3. Update the Life Cycle Stage. Find the Life Cycle Stage field and change it to Terminated. The system will redirect you to the Default and Termination tab.
  4. Complete the required fields:
    - Committee Approved Date
    - Date Terminated — must be after the Committee Approved Date
    - Reason
    - Click Add. Click the green Add button at the bottom to finalize the termination.

Method 2: Deactivate via Admin Panel

Admins can also terminate and deactivate a location directly from the Admin panel. This method deactivates the location and its associated user accounts.

  1. Go to Admin. From the main navigation, click Admin.
  2. Navigate to Franchise Location. Select Franchise Location, then click Manage Franchise Locations.
  3. Locate the location. Use the filters or scroll to find the franchise location you want to terminate.
  4. Open the action menu. Click the action gear icon (⚙) next to the location.
  5. Select Deactivate. Click Deactivate from the dropdown menu.
  6. Confirm. Confirm the action in the popup dialog.

Note: Deactivating a location will also deactivate all associated user accounts. If those users still need system access, a corporate administrator will need to reassociate them to an active location, or contact FranConnect Support for assistance.
