This section of System Configuration allows you to make changes to the statuses for milestones in the Goals tool.
Status Management
The initial page when opening the Goals section shows a simple table for viewing, rearranging, and accessing the currently available statuses, as well as a New Status button which can be used to create additional statuses.
Simply click on the name of a status to edit it, or the New Status button to begin creating a new status. You can rearrange these existing statuses by clicking on its position dropdown, and selecting a new position for it. The exception to this is the first and last statuses in the list – these can be edited like other statuses, but may not be moved from their positions.
Creating a Status
When creating a status, you are presented with two options.
- Name – This is the label that users will see when choosing a status for their milestone. It should adequately describe what stage the milestone can be at.
- Text Colour – This is a colour picker that allows you to choose a colour. This is the colour that the name of the status will be displayed as when viewed by users.
Once these options have been satisfactorily entered, click the Save button to add the status, after which you may rearrange it.
