Find or create the AWS access key ID and secret access key you need when configuring an AWS-based integration, for either your root account or an IAM user.
You need sign-in access to the AWS Management Console. You can never retrieve an existing secret access key — it is shown only once, at creation. If you have lost it, create a new key pair.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Follow these steps to find your AWS access key id and secret access key
Open your security credentials
In the AWS console, click your account name in the top-right corner and select Security Credentials, then Continue to Security Credentials.
View your root access keys
Expand Access Keys (Access Key ID and Secret Access Key) to see your active and deleted keys.
Create a new root access key
Click Create New Access Key, then Show Access Key to display it, or Download Key File to save it.
Copy the secret access key or download the key file before clicking Close or Cancel. Once the dialog closes, the secret can never be retrieved and you will have to delete the key and create a new one.
Open the IAM dashboard
On the Security Credentials page, click Get Started with IAM Users to manage IAM users, groups and permissions.
Find an IAM user's access keys
Click the user, then open Security Credentials to see their access keys.
Create a new IAM access key
Click Create Access Key — the new key ID and secret are generated and shown on screen.
As with root keys, the IAM secret access key is visible only once. Record it straight away, then paste both values into your FranConnect integration settings.
