Projects: Organize Checklists, Manage Tasks, and Review Progress from the New Home
See checklist-based work, your assignments, and recent completions in one place. The new Projects Home helps you review progress across locations, prioritize your work, and take action on your next task.
What’s New
- Organize work by checklist: Use the Projects card to find tasks grouped by checklist and navigate related work.
- Prioritize your assignments: My Tasks groups your open work into Overdue, Due, Starting, Active, and Upcoming, with counts for each group and mandatory tasks listed first. Due and Starting highlight tasks completing or starting this week.
- Take action from Home: Open a task’s detail panel to update its status, add comments, mention colleagues, and upload documents. Open the full Task page for additional detail.
- See what recently finished: Review checklist completions by location and completion time for Yesterday, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, or Last 3 Months. Repeat completions appear separately when a checklist is completed again after new tasks are added.
- Explore completed work: Select a completion to view completed tasks for that checklist and location. All cards respect your existing access permissions.
Get Started
- On Projects Home, use Projects to browse work by checklist or My Tasks to review and update your assignments.
- In Recently Completed, choose a period to review completions. The default is Last 7 Days.
- Initial availability is planned as a beta for participating customers.
Platform: Work Across Multiple Tabs with Greater Confidence
Keep modules and records open in separate browser tabs to move between tasks more efficiently. Shared session handling and checks for conflicting changes help protect your work as you switch between tabs.
What’s New
- Work across modules and records: Open different modules, different records, or the same record in multiple tabs within one user session.
- Stay informed across tabs: Tabs recognize relevant edits, deletions, logout, and session expiry events, helping prevent unintended updates from outdated information.
- Protect recent changes: A warning lets you know when the same record is already open in another tab. Validation before saving helps prevent conflicting changes and unintended overwrites.
Get Started
- Open the modules or records you need in separate browser tabs. Multi-tab support applies to all users across all modules and major browsers.
- When a record is already open in another tab, review the warning and address any validation messages before saving.
Applies to: Leads, Brokers, Locations, Entities, People, Multi-Unit, Regional, Visits, Royalty Invoices, Sales, , Tasks and Playbooks.
Other Updates
Sales & Information Manager: FDD Sent Date in Emails and Item 23 Receipts: I
nclude the FDD sent date in email subjects, email bodies, and Item 23 receipts using the new FDD Sent Date keyword ($FDD_SENT_DATE$). Add it from Keywords for Replacement → Others in FDD Email Templates or FDD Details in Item 23 Receipt templates. The date matches the portal’s Pending FDDs list and reflects the current send, including resends. Existing templates remain unchanged until you add the keyword.
Sales & Information Manager: Accurate FDD Resend Subjects:
Resent FDD emails now refresh the subject with current template values, keeping names, dates, and other replacement details consistent with the email body.
Information Manager: Employee Email Addresses in People Summary:
View employee email addresses directly in the Employees list to find contact details without opening individual records. Administrators can add Email Address through Summary Display Columns for People → Employees. Available in Foundation Essentials and Foundation Pro, with visibility governed by existing field permissions.
Custom Views: Include Up to 75 Columns:
Add more of the fields your team needs to operational reports with an increased limit of 75 columns per Custom View, up from 50. A clear message lets you know when you reach the limit. Available to all customers.
Analytics: Expanded Actual vs. Budget Tracking:
Track lead and opening performance against budget with new Prequalified Leads, Qualified Leads, and Operating Weeks by Opening Month KPIs. Enter and track budgets at Brand and Region levels alongside Global budgets, compare individual periods or running totals, and open the underlying records behind summary figures.
Mobile: Clearer Progress and Action Status:
Know when to wait and when to take action in the FranConnect and Field Ops mobile apps. A loading indicator stays visible while an action is processing, followed by a success confirmation, a specific error, or a timeout message with guidance on what to do next.
Playbooks: More Reliable Email Notifications:
Timely, readable email notifications help assigned users act on their playbook tasks. Improved delivery and formatting make the playbook name, tasks, due dates, and instructions clear, with direct links to the relevant playbook or task.
Brand Consistency: Visit Timestamps for Clearer Audit Records:
See the date and time a visit started, was completed, and was last modified to distinguish same-day visits and document exact timing. Timestamps appear in Visit Summary views on web and mobile, as well as Visit Summary and Visit Form PDFs, including expanded and compact summary layouts.
