Communication - Manuals and Files

The Manuals and Files tool is a great place to store all the relevant documents for your RTO Trainers to access. You can hyperlink files from this tool to Education Suite training. It is also very flexible with the types of files that can be uploaded.

New Folder

When creating a folder, you can have folders and multiple sub-folders to ensure everything is structured. To create a new folder, please do the following:

1. Go to Communication → Manuals & Files

2. Click on the New Folder button

3. Enter a Name for the folder

4. Use the Parent Folder drop-down to select select where the folder will be placed

Note: Select the - Home - option, to place the folder in the Main (root) Directory.

5. Configure the targeting, as/if required [optional]

6. Click on the Save button (once done)

New File

When uploading a file (and you can upload in bulk using a .zip file) you would name the file keeping in mind what you believe trainers would search for. To upload a new file, please do the following:

1. Go to Communication → Manuals & Files

2. Click on the New File button

3. Enter a 'Name' for the file

4. Select a folder to place the file in, from the 'Parent Folder' drop-down

5. Configure the targeting, as/if required [optional]

6. To upload the file, you can either drag-and-drop it into the 'Upload' section, or click on it to bring up the file browser + select it

7. Check the 'Active' option to make the file is visible to users [optional]

Tip: This will activate a secondary 'External Link' option. You can enable this to generate an external (download) link. For more information, please refer to Sharing Files Externally.

8. Click on the Save button (once done)
